Hearty Pasta with Smoked Ham

Ingredients
For 2 persons

100 g Whole-grain pasta

2 cloves of garlic

2 onions

2 red bell peppers

300 g green beans (fresh or frozen)

2 g fresh or dried savoury

10 g fresh herbs (chives, parsley)

200 ml vegetable broth

1 pinch of grated lemon peel

2 Tbsp. lemon juice

1.5 Tbsp. olive oil

1 pinch of freshly ground pepper

6 slices of smoked ham

1 pinch of iodized salt


Preparation

Cook pasta in boiling salted water.

Clean and chop garlic, peel onions, wash peppers and remove seeds. Chop everything and combine together with the green beans and the savoury to the broth. Cook for approximately 15 minutes over medium heat. Add cooked pasta and warm up for 1-2 minutes.

Chop fresh herbs and add. Stir in lemon zest, lemon juice, and oil, season with pepper, and arrange the vegetable—pasta mixture on a plate together with the smoked ham.


Extra tip*

The flavour of the dish can be enhanced by adding 2 tablespoons of pine nuts or walnuts.
